Application Engineer is responsible to support Adhesive and equipment selection, testing, evaluation and troubleshooting with sales engineers and customers.

My client is a leading US MNC manufacturer of solvent-free UV/Visible light-curable industrial adhesives and light-curing systems which are supplied to the medical, electronics, appliance, transportation, aerospace and alternative energy markets worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Provide conference or on-site application recommendations. Provide trouble-shooting assistance to customers, sales engineers and sales partners to reach optimized application recommendation or root cause conclusion
• Complete technical projects as assigned within established timeframes; clearly understand and validate project objectives; develop testing plans (inclusive of test matrices, data collection and analysis techniques, and reporting format) that ensure project objectives are efficiently achieved.
• Assesses project requests for viability, cost, resource demand, and (if applicable) propose alternative approaches that will more efficiently meet the objectives
• Manage reports according to customer\'s required format which include collection of data, analysis, recommendations and conclusions with appropriate charts and tables for each project completion.
• Able to prepare and deliver convincing presentations (using PowerPoint and EXCEL) to customers and coworkers.
• Coordinate key prospect and key account activity with field sales and marketing.
• Provide technical service training for sales channel partners and customers.
• Enter information into Customer Relationship Management database in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain expertise in Application Engineering laboratory equipment operation and test methods.
• Develops new test methods as required.
• Maintain expertise in assigned technical and market fields, inclusive of competitive technologies and products.
• Work safely and wears personal protective equipment in required areas.
• Regional travel to support sales team on key projects or key seminars, roadshows & exhibitions

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years in technical experience supporting the electronics / semi-conductor / automotive-electronics
• market segment.
• Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or science (preferably in chemistry or materials).
• Experience in specialty materials or specialty chemicals preferable.
• Knowledge of UV Adhesives, UV Curing system & Adhesives dispensing system is a plus
• Experience and knowledge of lab testing.
