The Application Manager will organize and lead IT projects through the various phases of project lifecycle. The IT projects primarily include Electronic Medical Record System and other clinical related management systems. He/She will work closely with the hospital and specialist clinic business users and vendors to successfully manage the systems implementation and maintenance. He/She will be responsible in managing the project timeline, budget, scope and resources; serve as the interface between Hospital departments and lead cross functional teams both internal and external.
Responsibilities
Leads, manages and mentors reporting staff for all project related matters;
Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the project plan, scope, schedule, budget and status reports for assigned projects;
Plans and manages implementation and integration of new technologies;
Involves and leads in procurement activities such as but not limited to submitting of project approval paper to the management, drafting Grant paper if necessary, RFP process and review of contract/agreement with vendor;
Ensures compliance to quality standards and reviews project deliverables;
Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis;
Proactively manages changes in the project scope, identify potential issues, and device contingency plans
Performs impact analysis and evaluate efforts needed to all enhancements/changes requested by end-user. Advise user or make recommendations to address their needs
Manages multiple project teams and resources towards project successes;
Coordinates status reports, resource management, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and ensures collaboration across all teams;
Identifies and tracks risks, issues, requirements, and all project documentation deliverables;
Assume leadership of cross functional teams to drive results that align with strategic company goals.
Establishes and maintains a well-communicated schedule for all phases of a project lifecycle
Manages scope creep through meetings, internal change orders or other method to help ensure projects deliver on time, scope, budget and strategy expectations;
Responsible for project closures on all project deliverables;
Identifies, tracks, manages and mitigates risk. Escalates issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to project completion;
Displays sound judgement in all project communication;
Ensure proper documentation of business requirements and hardware and software requirements
Provides ongoing support to new IT business requirements;
Manages vendor relationships and ensure vendors fulfill per contract requirements
Maintains and updates the quality records according to the standard guidelines on identification, filing, storage, maintenance, and disposition of these records.
Covers duties of fellow colleagues in their absence
Performs any other job related duties as assigned.
Requriements
Recognized Professional Certificate/Diploma/Advance/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent
PMP Certification or CITPM
More than 10 years of working experience with at least 3 years of project management experience in similar capacity
Have successfully implemented healthcare related IT systems
Good knowledge in web application architecture and framework
Good knowledge of project management both waterfall and agile include managing contracts, project budgets, work breakdown structures, and systems integration
Good skills in MS Project,MS Visio, MS excel and other job related applications
Interpersonal and leadership skills to manage multiple projects at one time with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to present project status to senior level management
Demonstrate experience in systems integration
