JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an APS Engineer (WSO2) to join our IT Delivery Services. The engineer will be part of the Application Production Services (APS) group under the IT Infrastructures department. This role focuses on the deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement of production environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in WSO2, Java, Python, and Shell scripting, with an ability to diagnose and resolve production issues and contribute to both technical and business projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Responsibilities:

Carry out application deployments and production start-ups. Provide Level 2 technical support for production applications. Diagnose and resolve malfunctions and system issues eectively. Ensure adherence to SLAs, norms, and integration standards. Maintain up-to-date system and operational documentation. Participate in on-call support (picket weeks). Ensure data flow security and system performance. Contribute to the industrialization and automation of environments. Propose and implement areas for improvement in system and process eiciency. Collaborate with cross-functional departments including DEVI, INFRA, BDS, and Migration teams.

Technical & Project Involvement:

Conduct technical studies and participate in technical projects. Monitor project progress, report to managers, and propose solutions for any variances. Support development and operations teams with technical advice and systems maintenance. Organize acceptance testing, production go-lives and ensure quality control and documentation compliance. Maintain and ensure continuity of supported applications and systems. Handle installation, configuration, updates, backups, restorations, and system supervision.

Communication & Knowledge Management:

Update and maintain technical expertise by engaging with specialists and resources (suppliers, technical documentation, websites). Possibly contribute to training and documentation for end-users.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Professional Experience: Previous experience in a similar APS or technical support role. Experience in the financial sector is a plus. Business & Domain Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL practices and technical support operations in production environments. Familiarity with management applications and infrastructure systems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS NEEDED:

WSO2 REST API Server - strong working knowledge required. Java technologies - experience with Tomcat and related frameworks. Python and Shell scripting - hands-on scripting for automation and troubleshooting. Experience with installation, configuration, upgrades, and system monitoring tools. * Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
