Assisting in Asia Pacific corporate tax (both direct and indirect) tax advisory, planning and tax risk management for the JPM Group.
Coverage includes all Asia Pacific entities and business units.
Partner with functional groups including local business units and other local support groups, amongst others.

Overall Purpose of the Job:
Key objectives of your role will include:
Assist Head of Tax - Asia Pacific in managing corporate taxes (both direct and indirect) in the Asia Pacific region.
Manage the external tax advisors to effectively manage the related tax risks
Support in tax research, tax planning and manage transactions/projects timeline and deliverables
Main Activities/Tasks:
Providing support on tax advisory matters in Asia Pacific Region.
Analyzing tax law changes and impact to JPM entities including assisting to identify opportunities to optimize the tax positions of Asia Pacific entities
Managing of tax audits / examinations work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to address tax issues and other key non-tax related transactions/initiatives.
Supporting firm-wide and team specific initiatives as well as other ad hoc projects impacting the Businesses in Asia Pacific Region.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Minimum of 8 years of tax related working experience
Experience within the financial services industry is preferred
Relevant professional qualifications, e.g. CPA
Meticulous with strong analytical skills and a high aptitude for numbers and Excel proficiency
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a fast paced environment
Strong understanding of Singapore tax law / practice
