Gaia Lifestyle Holdings Pte. Ltd. regularly measures and improves process quality, examines, and applies best industry practices, identifies new and advanced technological implementations as well as trains and develops our employees to keep them relevant. The primary role of the Assistant Accountant will be providing support mainly on the F&B sector to the Senior Accountant and any other persons or companies assigned, in a professional and timely manner. This individual will need to assist with other industries such as Entertainment, Shared Services Company and must be flexible in terms of job scope and work hours to meet the demands of our fast-paced and dynamic organization. This individual possesses communication, people management, meticulous, and a good team player. Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly including preparation of journals and monthly schedules and annual financial statements for multiple companies Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.) , guide and review the AP & AR work done by the Accounts Executive is recorded accurately. Checked daily summary report from POS system, check and ensure sales are accurately recorded. Perform monthly petty cash/cash float reconciliation with operations team Handle inter-company accounts and inter-company billing and liaise with internal parties as and when necessary Involve in monthly stock-take for the F&B outlets. Review and analyse/investigate expenses in monthly profit & loss Prepare and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST/WHT), audits, procedures and forms. Review or guide on the finance administrative works which prepared by Accounts Executives (eg. Bank documents, corporate secretarial documents and etc). Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, banks, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required Assist in preparation of weekly cash movement analysis and monthly cashflow projections Assist in budget preparation and input, forecast reports as and when required. Handles ad hoc assignments as and when required. Requirements: Degree in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience & supervisory skills in hospitality/F&B industries Proficient in Ms Excel Familiar with accounting software like Oracle Netsuites, Navision is a plus Good understanding in inter-company transactions Good team player, self-discipline, meticulous, attentive, committed, and able to work independently
