Together, we\xe2\x80\x99re working at the pace of change on diagnostic tools that address the world\xe2\x80\x99s biggest health challenges, driven by knowing that behind every test there is a patient waiting.Learn about the which makes everything possible.The Assistant Accounting Manager is responsible for actively managing the accounting function, external and internal financial audits, internal management reporting as well as Statutory Accounting as per US GAAP and Local GAAP for Singapore as well as Hong Kong businesses. The person in this position must have a hands-on and detail-oriented working style, but also is able to see the big picture.This position will be supporting Senior Finance Manager and will be based in Singapore. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly close for Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong entities in accordance with US GAAP while ensuring proper maintenance of statutory financials including, reviewing and approving monthly journal entries, the preparation of monthly flux and interfacing with Corporate Accounting and the external auditors.
• Accountable for all accounting activities in Singapore and Hong Kong, including AP/GL accounting close, balance sheet and Statutory Accounting/Reporting, tax accounting, tax filings and transfer pricing.
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable international and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Managing the accounting on GST, with the support of the team and external consultants
• Managing secretarial compliances from the Cepheid Singapore and Cepheid Hong Kong legal entity standpoint and ensure Transfer Pricing initiatives are managed and followed at all levels.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of financial accounting & reporting experience, preferably in a complex, multinational environment.
• Adapt at both Microsoft Excel and ERP Applications
• Self-motivated team player, possessing good analytical and problem-solving skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Strong SAP knowledge
• Prior working experience with medical device/IVD industry
