We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Communications Manager role in Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore! Reporting to the Brands Public Relations and Communications Manager, he/she will play a crucial role in developing memorable messages and connections with our internal stakeholders and delivering impactful initiatives to engage external audiences to strengthen the company\'s corporate branding, reputation, and trust.

What you will be doing:

Driving Employee Communications:

  • You will play the leading role in the development and execution of the internal communications strategy to energise the organisation and build the desired winning culture and organisational image as an employer of choice. This includes managing townhalls, engagement programmes, and relevant internal communications initiatives.
  • Accelerate the delivery of our HEINEKEN EverGreen strategy to inform and engage employees, enable them to bring to life our company\'s Purpose, Values and Behaviours, and celebrate their contributions towards the growth and future successes of our business. This includes working closely with the People function and relevant departments to ensure the delivery of accurate, consistent, and impactful messages on EverGreen.
  • Be the chief steward for Workplace, the company\'s internal communication platform to engage the internal audience, and be responsible for its strategy, governance, editorial direction as well as performance of the channel.
Building Corporate Branding:
  • Work with the Brand Public Relations and Digital Communications Manager to implement the company\'s corporate Public Relations strategy and digital-first communications programmes across earned, owned, and paid channels to elevate corporate reputation, strengthen employer value proposition, and drive share of voice.
  • Manage media and influencers contacts, identify editorial and speaking opportunities, develop press materials to secure media coverage, and support corporate events, media interviews and media engagements.
  • Assist to develop digital-first and social-by-design content for APBS social media channels and corporate websites.
  • Support reputation management efforts in times of crisis.
  • Use data and analytics, and social media listening tools to stay on top of trends, and measure performance and gauge the effectiveness of our communications strategy to allow continuous improvement
Ideally, you should have:
  • At least 5 years of broad communications experience (public relations, corporate and internal / external communications), including good in-house or agency experience in brand planning and management, deep understanding of social media communications, strong media contacts and experience in cultivating members of the media and key influencers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills that can be adapted for different audiences.
  • Stellar writing and storytelling skills - prose that\'s clear and concise, with an eye towards eliminating jargons.
  • Experience in developing and delivering successful public relations strategies and has strong media contacts.
  • Experience in digital and social media space with an ability and interest in leveraging multiple formats including social media, blog posts, podcasts, and more to support company communications objectives.
  • Strong analytical (metric-driven) and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and has foresight to anticipate and is resourceful to deal with unforeseen and urgent demands.
  • Good time management and personal organization skills; ability to organize own work priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task independently with accuracy, speed, and composure.
  • Attention to detail and is systematic.
  • Flexibility in working hours, as some work might be required during weekends
  • A degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Arts and Social Science, and Business Administrations.
Ideally, you should be:
  • Dynamic and creative.
  • A self-starter and solid individual contributor, yet able to work well in teams.
  • Excellent in your interpersonal and networking skills.
