Lendlease is currently searching for an experienced Assistant Development Manager.
As a core member of the Development Team, the Assistant Development Manager will be heavily involved in the delivery of the Shaw Tower development. This role will report directly to the Senior Development Manager of the Project and will have \xe2\x80\x98day to day\xe2\x80\x99 working relationship with the team including Development Manager, Development Analyst, and various support functions such as finance, leasing and legal. The role will form the foundational support for the Development Team managing the delivery phase of a commercial development.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

Co-ordinate across Development, Leasing, Finance and Construction in relation to prospective leasing tenant deals.

Lead certain design elements including Heritage with co-ordination across design consultants, cost planning, Shaw, Construction and Development to ensure intent is achieved within cost and program constraints.

Lead ad-hoc strategies such as electric vehicles, carbon studies, NCSS community tenancy etc.

Lead and drive the Lendlease compliance with ISO QEHS policies including reviewing ongoing compliance and areas of improvement for the team.

Assist in the overseeing the requirements of project delivery and finalization and is required to convert the project from building(s) to a functioning, occupied development. This will require the coordination of commercial, legal, marketing, and project management skills in an Assistant Development Manager capacity as well as ensuring successful delivery in compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards and to support the achievement of company objectives in creating the best place working with both Development Manager and Senior Development Manager

Assist in managing and coordinating all aspects of the design process including reviewing developed design, prototypes and samples to ensure consistency and check for end user functionality in compliance with best practice industry standards with project management and construction management team; and Lendlease internal standards such as GMRs and Blueprint

Prepare and present reports for Project Control Groups, Project Team meetings, Management Committee meetings, Project Committee\xe2\x80\x99s meetings, and other country & regional meetings.

Together with the Project Development Team, manage a process of consultation with key stakeholders (including Owner Shaw and the local authority agencies) and the local community including explaining proposals, collecting suggestions and feedback, and managing expectations.

Contribute to the establishment and review of development strategy and project scheduling for the project.

Ensure that development schedule meets planning timeframes, leasing, tenant requirements, funding commitments and the timeframes assumed in the commercial assessment.

Design coordination with external stakeholders: architects, key consultants, specialist consultants (lighting, design, fa\xc3\xa7ade, landscape, fire safety engineers, ESD consultants etc) to achieve design and development objectives.

Design coordination with internal stakeholders, Lendlease Design, Lendlease Project Management & Construction, Lendlease Development etc

Manage costs and timelines to ensure that project is on schedule and within budget.

The Assistant Development Manager may also be involved in other origination work where applicable including design conceptualization, forecasting, and managing design fee budgets to ensure consistency and check for end user functionality in compliance with best practice industry standards.

Maintain current knowledge and keep abreast of current developments and trends particularly with regards to competitors\xe2\x80\x99 products which may involve visiting competing projects on a regular basis, monitoring various forms of media to assess competitors\xe2\x80\x99 marketing strategies, and providing expert input in development of strategies to maintain competitiveness and improve company market positioning.

Forge effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure progress of works and the maintenance and enhancement of relationships.

Contribute to the development of internal capabilities which may include coordinating workshops to promote best practice design and facilitate the sharing and transfer of knowledge, ensuring operation in adherence to quality, safety and sustainability standards.

To be a success in this role it is desirable, but not essential to have;

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, and/ or Construction Management, combined with an advanced knowledge of role.

4 \xe2\x80\x93 6 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with Design consultants, Property Developers, Real Estate Consultancies or Construction firms desirable.

An understanding of a General Contractor (GC) model would be beneficial.

Problem solving, planning, organising and analytical skills with the ability to guide and coach others in the resolution of complex problems.

Strong commercial acumen.
