What the role is:

You lead a team in reviewing and updating MINDEF and SAF\'s data security standards and protection measures that support the Public Sector Data Security goals.

What you will be working on:

On this, you anticipate and respond to the evolving data security risks and threat scenarios, develop project timelines, and drive the implementation of technical measures. You also provide technical data security consultancy for key digital projects to ensure that the data security requirements on data collection, retrieval, storage, processing and transmission comply with the data security policies and standards. Your challenges lie in keeping abreast of the emerging technologies and the constantly evolving data security landscape, and their possible impact on data security, as well as understanding the needs and concerns of key stakeholders to develop well-balanced positions of adopting data security technologies to ensure MINDEF/SAF\'s interests are protected and furthered.

What we are looking for:

You must have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, with at least 6 years\' working experience in IT security management or security consultancy. You should possess knowledge in data security solutions, such as Data Loss Protection tools, Hashing with salt, Tokenisation, Field Level Encryption, Digital Watermarking. Possession of ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent. Experience in planning and developing security policies, standards and procedures is advantageous. You must have good written and verbal communication skills and must able to work independently as well as in a team in a fast paced environment. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
