What the role is:The Accountant-General\'s Department (AGD) plays an important role in making Singapore a better place through Finance. At AGD, we aim to be a future-ready leader in transforming Public Sector finance by putting finance at the heart of our decision-making. We do this through building a strong foundation in providing robust financial systems and processes that serve key stakeholders including our pensioners, vendors and the public sector. Our team of accounting professionals work at AGD and are deployed to the public agencies to deliver a wide range of financial and accounting-related services to the Public Service. Together we play a critical role in helping the Government achieve its fiscal and economic objectives through sound stewardship and governance. The candidate will be joining the Government Central Team in supporting Project Cumulus (Workday) for 41 onboarded statutory boards in Workday. Workday is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service financial system.What you will be working on:Specifically, he/ she will: \xe2\x80\xa2 Build functional competencies in Finance (Procure-to-Pay) business process design and principles in compliance with policies, business and statutory requirements; \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop Ops-Tech competencies through hands-on opportunities to perform system configurations in Workday; \xe2\x80\xa2 Partner with service delivery vendor to resolve system issues for Statutory Boards in accordance to service delivery standards and requirements; \xe2\x80\xa2 Propose/ review/ execute tenant-wide or localized system changes, with the objective to achieve harmonization with the global design; \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with third party system vendors - Workday to resolve product-related issues, assess product limitations and workarounds, roadmap planning and partake in new innovation testing; \xe2\x80\xa2 Support new feature releases through change impact assessment, UAT, change management and deployment; \xe2\x80\xa2 Facilitate user engagement forums to gather feedback on user experience to identify focus areas for system enhancements; \xe2\x80\xa2 Evolve the communication framework, build a vibrant user community, and foster a collaborative spirit between users to share system usage expertise and experiencesWhat we are looking for:Functional/Technical Competencies: \xe2\x80\xa2 Interest in Ops-Tech; \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Business / Finance / IT / Systems required; \xe2\x80\xa2 CA Singapore certification is preferred Generic Competencies: \xe2\x80\xa2 Good critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills; \xe2\x80\xa2 Time management skills to multi-task and prioritize key deliverables; \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of Finance and/or Procurement processes and experience with related systems as well as system implementation will be advantageous; \xe2\x80\xa2 Meticulous and a good team player who is able to work well independently; \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to proactively develop and manage relationships with various key stakeholders; \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to put forth proposals and recommendations for management decision-making; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong communication and presentation skills You will be notified whether you have been shortlisted within 4 weeks from the closing date of this job posting.About Accountant-General\'s Department:The Accountant-General\'s Department (AGD) plays an important role in making Singapore a better place through Finance.
