What the role is:The MOH Future Systems & Innovation Division (FSID) oversees MOH\'s innovation strategy, which aims to catalyse and drive the translation of good, cost-effective health innovations and technologies into impactful implementations across the Singapore healthcare ecosystem. Part of this involves reviewing the potential of specific health technologies in the healthcare sector and supporting the broader masterplanning effort across MOH for healthtech. To support this strategy, FSID administers the MOH Health Innovation Fund, and works closely with a wide network of stakeholders and partners. The ability to have a strategic planning and resource management perspective is a necessary requirement for all FSID officers. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, in a multi-disciplinary team with a range of healthcare stakeholders. This will require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:You will have the opportunity to work on: - Technology masterplanning in alignment with MOH\'s innovation strategy, in key areas like sensors and wearables, artificial intelligence, robotics and automation, and other process and product innovations that will support healthcare transformation, and driving the implementation of these plans through various methods - Become a relationship manager to a healthcare cluster or innovation partner to centrally facilitate promising projects through project evaluation or programme design, grant approval, and project management to drive innovations to scale - Oversee the MOH Health Innovation Fund grant policy, and administration and management - Oversee the engagement strategy with healthcare and innovation stakeholders to forge partnerships and scan for new developments on the horizonWhat we are looking for:Work Experience, Competencies and Personal Traits - Education in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Healthcare/ Public Policy related fields - Experience in strategic or corporate planning, as well as in healthcare, digital health and/or STEM is advantageous - Experience in strategic resource management - Possesses strong analytical, written and oral communication skills - Strong people development, leadership and engagement skills An ideal candidate should possess the following: - Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities, including the appreciation of both the big picture and the granular details. - Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working, and to be pay it forward to grow the team. - Improving & Innovating - Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved; keen problem solving skills. - Working Effectively with Stakeholders - Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.
