Job Description

What the role is:
You will report to the Deputy Director, Infrastructure and Security Department, overseeing the management of enterprise ICT infrastructure and cloud services. You will also develop and implement ICT policies, standards and procedures for the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
What you will be working on:
1. Strategic Planning

• Develop network and cloud infrastructure adoption strategies, ensuring high availability and performance
• Develop cloud governance frameworks and standard operating procedures
• Develop proposals for network and cloud budgets and develop strategies to optimise utilisation of resources
• Support the Agency's digitalisation and innovation efforts by proposing use of new ICT technologies

2. Technical Management

• Provide technical consultancy to integrate new applications to infrastructure
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Manage cloud service providers and vendors
• Recommend improvements on network and cloud services

3. Contract/Project Management for Agency's Network and Cloud services

• Develop contracts to fulfil Agency's ICT requirements
• Monitor contract compliance and deliverables
• Maintain contract documentation and records
• Track contract milestones and renewal dates
• Review and process payments
• Track budget utilisation
• Identify cost-saving opportunities
• Handle contract variations and amendments

What we are looking for:
Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Proficiency in network configuration in cloud environments
• Understanding best practices in network and cloud cybersecurity

Management Skills

• Project and budget management experience
• Vendor management experience
• Risk management experience

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent
• Professional cloud certifications
• 3+ years of cloud experience

About Singapore Food Agency:
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is a new Statutory Board formed under the 'Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) to oversee food safety and security. The SFA will serve as the single point of contact for public feedback on food-related issues, and strengthen management of foodborne disease outbreaks to protect public health. The SFA will also facilitate more business-friendly regulations with oversight of all food safety policies and consolidation of food laboratory capabilities to deepen competencies in food diagnostics, and research and development in food safety.
