What the role is
The Ministry of Health is at the forefront of the nation’s response to COVID-19. In support of Singapore’s COVID-19 operations, we are looking for dedicated individuals to be part of the Operations Services team in MOH’s Crisis Strategy and Operations Group (CSOG) to provide responsive infrastructure and logistic support to the taskforces/task groups through sourcing, allocation and close coordination with MOH’s Corporate Services Division as well as the external vendors to manage logistic action plans to sustain operation outcomes. You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
What you will be working on
You will lead the Operations Services team to oversee the following functions: Infrastructure Planning • Work closely with CSOG HQ, taskforces and task groups to determine the current and projected CSOG infrastructure requirements under various ops scenarios. • Oversee the planning and allocation of space to meet the needs of all CSOG officers. • Oversee the maintenance of CSOG infrastructure and equipment. • Ensure new offices are operational with all the necessary furniture and equipment by gathering requirements across CSOG and working closely with Corporate Services Division. Office Equipment and Operations Support Administration • Work closely with the relevant divisions to support CSOG HQ, taskforces and task groups’ common goods and services for operation sustenance needs. • Oversee engagement of contractors and vendors to provide common goods and services. • Review and draft approval of requirements along with budgeting, in accordance with established procurement guidelines. Workplace, Safety and Health • Serve as the central point of contact for workplace safety and security including conducting audits and checks. • Attend all forums relating to workplace, safety and health and disseminate latest updates/guidelines to all CSOG officers in a timely manner. • Guide and ensure taskforces and task groups’ business continuity plans are up to date. • Ensure compliance to all relevant health and safety procedures and controls within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, health and security.
What we are looking for
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS • Tertiary Education in Logistics, Business, or related field of study. • Logistics and Project Management Professional Certification preferred. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE • 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook) PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS • Able to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment. • Excellent organisational and leadership skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong interpersonal engagement with effective verbal and communication skills. • Strong relationship building and management skills. • Able to conceptualise and write clearly. • Positive, self-motivated, and high standard of integrity. • Prepared to work beyond shift hours including weekends and public holiday when required As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
