As Singapore\'s only tertiary psychiatric care institution dedicated to improving the lives of our patients and their families, we rely on the generous support of donors and sponsors to fund our mental health-related programmes and services to support preventive efforts, promote recovery, build resilience and raise mental health awareness.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced fundraising professional to join our team as the Assistant Director for IMH\'s Woodbridge Hospital Charity Fund (The Fund). In this role, you will oversee the proper governance and administration of The Fund as well as be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies and initiatives to increase donations, and building relationships with donors and sponsors.Job responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of The Fund:
  • Oversee the administration of The Fund to ensure the applications and utility of funds meet the objectives of The Fund in an effective way.
  • Liaise with MOH (Charity Unit) / external agencies / auditors together with the support of IMH\'s Finance department to ensure compliance with statutory requirement and the Code of Governance for charities and IPCs.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies:
  • Plan and lead the execution of fundraising events and campaigns and related marketing and publicity and as needed, collaborate with other departments for support (e.g., Corporate Communications Department, and the Volunteers Unit).
  • Prepare reports to evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives, and for update to the Board.
  • Oversee the donor databases and ensure the information is accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to increase donations, and donor engagement with the support of a small fundraising team.
  • Actively cultivate and manage relationships with donors, sponsors, corporations, and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor a small team of fundraising staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, marketing, nonprofit management).
  • At least 10 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related field with at least 5 years of managerial / supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory requirements and reporting in relation to fundraising, and strong administrative skills in this area are a must.
  • Proven track record in cultivating and soliciting major donations, including demonstrated success in identifying and growing a network of donors.
  • Strong in both written and spoken language, with experience in communications work being an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a flair for networking and building relationships with donors and stakeholders of all levels.
  • Strong project management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Creative, analytical, and strategic.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry will be a plus.
