What the role is:You will be part of a division whose primary responsibility is to build and strengthen relationships with foreign counterparts and stakeholders. You will help to advance and defend Singapore\'s and the Ministry\'s interests at international meetings, and on bilateral and multilateral platforms.What you will be working on:You will lead a team which has, inter alia, the following responsibilities: a. Represent Singapore and the Ministry, or coordinate and staff political leaders and senior government officials, to participate in regional and international meetings. b. Coordinate and staff incoming and outgoing visits with political leaders and senior government officials. c. Assess and staff recommendations on the Ministry\'s engagements with foreign counterparts and stakeholders. d. Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive background briefs as well as the organisation of meetings. In carrying out the above responsibilities, you will need to collaborate with colleagues in various Ministries, government agencies, community leaders and activists in Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO)s, and work with officials from regional and international grouping and organisations such as ASEAN, UN and EU. As work may sometimes take place across different time zones, or key activities may take place at the start of the week, there will be occasions when you will need to work after office hours on weekdays or weekends. You will also be expected to travel for work.What we are looking for:
