BeeX is building the world\'s most advanced Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUVs). Our technology takes men and women out of dangerous environments, slash carbon footprint, ultimately create a sustainable way to differentiate without cutting corners.

We started BeeX because we were frustrated by the manual, costly, dangerous and inefficient methods of underwater work. Leveraging on a decade of R&D in underwater self-driving, we are focused on helping our customers achieve a transformative leap in underwater operations.

Our flagship A.IKANBILIS HAUV has worked in challenging conditions in Singapore and Europe, alongside forward-thinking service providers; providing insight on the condition of near-shore assets - 200+ structural piles, 1000+ anodes, vessels, seabeds and tanks at unprecedented speed and quality. We are actively engaging with customers to build a 10X better variant for harsher conditions to capture the rapidly growing Offshore Wind market.

Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with a multi-disciplinary team and you need to be equally comfortable working at sea trials and a normal desk in the office.

You will report directly to the Electrical Lead.

Job Scope

• Respond to and resolve all Robotics System-related issues on-site and off-site and provide technical support to all staff members
• Assist in production of our Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (HAUV); inclusive of manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing of all parts
• Design, implement and test features for the electrical and mechanical systems of HAUV, in the workshop and in the field
• Assemble and wire up prototype models for testing
• PCB layout of Electronics boards
• Wire harness and cabling design and execution, inclusive of production drawing generation (2D and 3D), crimping, and soldering.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for our vehicles, including assembly instructions, test procedures, test logs, and service guides
• Ensure that the products conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications and technical drawings

• Prepare and maintain fabrication drawings and BOMs, and liaise with vendors on fabrication, to ensure parts conform to our standards
• Purchase of electrical equipment and materials
• Gather user requirements in collaboration with management team and end customers.

Desired Qualities

• Diploma or B.Eng degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a relevant field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering
• Experience with Altium designer and other equivalent PCB CAD software.
• Experience with any 2D schematic, wire harnessing and cable assembly design software.
• Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, wire harnessing.
• Experience with C++ for embedded systems programming and development.
• Experience with battery operated designs, embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensor and actuator interfacing.
• Experience with quality control and test procedures for tests such as in EMI-EMC, Vibration, temperature, humidity testing is a plus.
