Key Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in managing all electrical aspects of large-scale water (MV & ELV) works projects (e.g., switchgear, MCC, SCADA systems, transformer installations, cabling works). Review and validate electrical designs, schematics, and technical submissions in accordance with

PUB, EMA, and BCA

requirements. Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with design specifications, local electrical codes, and safety regulations. Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical, and ICA teams to ensure proper integration and site readiness. Assist in managing procurement, installation supervision, and system testing of LV/HV equipment. Lead or support site inspections, FAT/SAT, and final handover procedures. Maintain updated documentation, including as-built drawings, load calculations, cable schedules, and test reports. Participate in risk assessments, method statement reviews, and ensure adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards. Provide guidance to junior electrical engineers and site supervisors.

Qualifications

:


Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution. Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certificate or experience under LEW supervision is an advantage. Knowledge of local and international standards (e.g., SS638, IEC, IEEE).

Experience

:


Minimum

6-8 years

of relevant electrical engineering experience. Experience in water works, utility projects, or industrial plant installations preferred. Familiarity with PUB electrical submission procedures and project requirements.

Technical Skills

:


Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP, or other electrical design tools. Good understanding of power distribution systems, protection coordination, and earthing systems. Strong troubleshooting and testing capabilities during T&C.

Soft Skills

:


Strong coordination and leadership ability on-site. Clear communication and stakeholder management skills. * Detail-oriented, with ability to handle concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
