Job Description


Job Purpose
Manage a team to perform proper daily maintenance or project work on NSEW Supervisory Control System, NSEW/BP Power SCADA and Emergency Traction Tripping System in stations, substations, depots, and OCC (Operations Control Centre), achieving reliability, availability, and Safety.
Goal: Meet System maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Responsibilities
Responsible to manage a team in the testing, maintenance, and recovery of SCS/PSCADA equipment such as OCC servers, Overview display, Workstations, Network equipment, RTU, Power RTU, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), Station PSC (Passenger Service Centre) HMI, and Emergency door release (electrical controls) and related peripherals to meet System maintenance KPI.
Main Duties are:
1. Admin Matter
xe2x96xaa Plan and consolidate Monthly Works schedule and man-hour.
xe2x96xaa Update members on Circular, Dept notice, safety topics and any related matter
xe2x96xaa Discuss, report and update in monthly meeting.
xe2x96xaa Assist EMM in coordination for Corrective Maintenance (CM), safety, inspection, and project support.
xe2x96xaa Maintain documentation (e.g., RTU datalist, drawings).
xe2x96xaa Monitor inventory/spares as directed by the supervisor.
xe2x96xaa Ensure work procedures are updated on safety and regulatory compliance.
xe2x96xaa Attend E-Quizzes, refresher, and development training as applicable.
xe2x96xaa Conduct Supervised Field Training and training (lesson learnt) to junior staff.
xe2x96xaa Manage Staff welfare (leave, clock in/out etc)
2. SCS Maintenance (applicable only for OCC & Field AE)
xe2x96xaa Perform system backup, preventive and corrective maintenance timely.
xe2x96xaa Attend to all calls and SAP work notifications for PM and CM.
xe2x96xaa Compose and Submit work reports for all related to first line maintenance
xe2x96xaa Ensure all reported CM and PM work orders are closed accurately and promptly.
xe2x96xaa Maintain safe and hazard-free custodian equipment rooms at stations and base offices.
xe2x96xaa Perform periodic review of Work specs, instruction or project procedure, risks assessment and etc.
xe2x96xaa Perform QA check on repaired item at site.
xe2x96xaa Perform In-house repair, as may be assigned when appropriate.
xe2x96xaa Optimize spare parts and consumable item usage.
xe2x96xaa Assist in the disposal of condemned or obsolete equipment/parts.
xe2x96xaa Assist EMM in the generation of fault analysis report and case study.
3. Other Roles and Responsibilities
Person-in-Charge (PIC) Duties:
xe2x96xaa Responsible for System A&A and contractor work.
xe2x96xaa Ensure compliance with safety requirements and follow safety instructions from manuals and circulars.
xe2x96xaa Provide support in fault-finding and investigation to all parties.
Safety Inspection and Audit:
xe2x96xaa Attend safety inspections/audits of SCS system/equipment and processes.
xe2x96xaa Monitor compliance with safety protocols.
External Parties and Technical Data:
xe2x96xaa Coordinate works by external parties, including LTA and contractors.
xe2x96xaa Consolidate and organize technical data related to equipment as required by the supervisor.
xe2x96xaa Review manuals and drawings submitted by contractors for as-built correctness.
Proactive Improvements (Kaizen):
xe2x96xaa Propose areas for improvements proactively.
Emergency Response:
xe2x96xaa Respond to emergency recalls as required by the supervisor.
Night/Shift Work:
xe2x96xaa Perform night/shift work-related duties or cover as assigned and directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Diploma in Control and Engineering
  • Higher Nitec in Engineering with at least 1 years of railway related experience
