What the role is
What you will be working on
As an Assistant Engineer for the Water Supply (Network) department’s Metering team, your main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to:
(1) Ensure accurate metering of water supplied to customers:
• Investigate abnormalities in customers’ water consumption and prepare assessment whether to change faulty meters or advise customers to conduct leak detection for unexplained high-consumption, repair of service pipe leaks, etc.
• Prepare and review the necessary documentation for adjustment/concession request approval due to faulty meters and water leakages.
(2) Ensure effective and efficient metering operations:
• Liaise with external parties (e.g. government agencies, contractor, and members of the public) pertaining to metering operations and customer’s feedback or enquiry
• Liaise with the Board’s billing agent to ensure the provision of services are in accordance with the contract.
What we are looking for
Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
