Generates drawing list to establish project deliverables through the sourcing and compilation of engineering information for the EPCC project and reviews drawing plan sequence prepared by drafting specialists
Works closely with drafting specialist for the preparation and modification of technical design specification, drawings (i.e.IFA, IFC and etc.), and the sequence of operations for SMD design
Guides junior team members in the generation of 3-D modeling and interference checking by utilising specific drafting software and tool in the engineering network systems
Performs basic and complex engineering calculations for the generation of SMD technical drawings and cost estimates under the guidance of senior team members
Performs vessel site visit/ inspection and coordinates with SMD engineers and other discipline engineers, drafting specialists, subcontractors and consultants to check and verify the preparation of Material Take Off/ BOM
Coordinates and attends meetings for SMD design team, provides report on the work progress and records the information into the meeting minutes, under the direction of reporting supervisor
Compiles SMD design documents, provides analysis and maintenance on the 3-D modeling data in order to support project feasibility studies and preparation of tender/construction documents and design drawings
Assembles SMD design engineered submittal manuals/ booklets including AutoCAD drawings, sequence of operations, bill of materials list, diagrams, etc. and provides copying support for contractors/ customers
Liases with vendors to obtain updated information, when required and maintains SMD design submittal filing system (i.e.AutoCAD and etc.) in the engineering reference library
Prepares SMD design project training manuals and owners manuals for on-site training to contractors and customers
Works with other engineering team members as required to achieve functional objectives and deadlines
Provides support in various engineering projects as required to promote cross-functional learning and development, balance team workload and enhance overall team productivity
Requirements:
Diploma or Certificate in science, computing, mathematics or engineering
3 years of working experience as programmers or analysts
Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications
