Position description:

Assist to implement an effective Resource Supportability on both NEL and LRT in all Rolling Stock sections.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform tasks for New Rail Financing Framework (NRFF) Asset Renewal Projects like midlife refurbishment of trains and engineering trains.
• Assist with implementing an effective Resource Support in all Rolling Stock section.
• Perform conditional assessment tasks for NEL Rolling Stock vehicles.
• Perform installation and removal of components on the trains / engineering trains for midlife refurbishment.
• Supervise and ensure that contractors meet internal quality standards when doing installation and removal works for trains during the midlife upgrades.
• Establish the required tools and supporting equipment to support the maintenance of the newly refurbished Rolling Stock vehicles.
• Witness and assist with the Testing & Commissioning of components and systems on the trains after installation.
• Receive and perform QC checks on equipment such as special tools provided by OEM for the NRFF projects.
• Perform incoming and outgoing QC check, logistic spare support on newly bought, repaired and defective equipment in Rolling Stock section.
• Perform housekeeping using the Maintenance Management System on Rolling Stock equipment movement records for audit / internal requirements
• Implement and maintain an efficient document (including technical drawings) filing system for Rolling Stock
• Performs Physical Asset condition assessment works for Rolling Stock fleet.
• Assist in preparation of the Asset condition scores in accordance to LTA requirements.
• Maintain proper storage of documents and information for the NRFF projects, spares and also asset condition assessment.
• Carry out all other tasks as directed by supervisor.
