What the role is:Tuas South Incineration Plant (TSIP) is the fourth waste-to-energy plant built in Singapore at a cost of S$890 million. Completed in June 2000, the Plant was designed to incinerate 3,000 tonnes of waste daily with its 6 incinerator units.What you will be working on:You will work at Tuas South Incineration Plant as assistant engineering executive to ensure the safe and effective operation and maintenance of the mechanical equipment and systems in the plant. You will be responsible for the following:To carry out daily maintenance of the assigned plant equipmentTo ensure that daily job card and overhaul programmes are implementedTo attend to unscheduled outages of plant equipmentTo carry out overhaul works as assigned by Engineers or Engineering Managers.To carry out scheduled preventive maintenanceTo carry out inspection of equipment after completion of workTo undertake projects assigned by Engineers / Engineering managers to improve the reliability, effectiveness and efficiency of the Plant\'s equipment and process.To ensure all works are carried out in compliance with the relevant statutory safety requirementsWhat we are looking for:NITEC or Higher Nitec in Mechanical EngineeringMust be computer literateAbility to work independentlyA good team player with strong interpersonal skillsGood interpersonal communication skillsKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeOrganised and able to multi-taskOutgoing and pleasant personalityMature, independent and resourcefulHighly self-motivatedAble and willing to work on weekends/public holidays and after office hoursAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About National Environment Agency:The National Environment Agency (NEA) is the leading public organisation responsible for ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for Singapore.
