The Assistance Engineering Manager is responsible for monitoring and executions of the overall efficiency and other appropriate Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) equipment operations and Maintenance operations.
Main Responsibilities
Plan and monitor that Preventive Maintenance program is executed.
Manage all Third-party Term Contractors contracts maintenance schedule are executed and scope of works, term, and conditions as specified and agreed in the Service contracts.
Monitors and controls expenses within all areas of the department.
Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial.
Manage the daily activities of the department. Plan and organize work, communicate goals, and schedule to ensure proper coverage.
Analyse monthly Engineering activities to improve operating standard and minimize downtime.
Initiate corrective and periodic maintenance to site specific requirement.
Ensure all staff is properly trained and have tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.
Educate/train employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance with statutory requirement and safety regulations.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Maintain and repair the interior and exterior of buildings, plants and equipment, guest rooms and contents.
Establish and maintain procedures to:
Ensure the security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, television etc.
Replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner
To minimize waste.
Assisting the Risk management requirements necessary to ensure that the Hotel, employees, and guests are protected against any emergency crisis outlined in the Risk Management Manual and Fire Safety.
Knowledge, experience, skills required
At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in the hospitality industry in a managerial position
Must have hands on knowledge of building maintenance skills, and basic knowledge of painting, drywall, HVAC and plumbing.
Degree in a related field/or at least a Technical Diploma
Knowledge of functions of relevant technical systems and associated equipment and operational procedures
Good management and supervisory skills
Self-motivated, able to function independently
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Good written and verbal communication in the English Language
Ability to maintain and repair relevant machinery
Able to work shifts, including weekend and Public Holiday.
