[What the role is]
We are looking for service-oriented individuals to join the Operations & Facilities Management Department which oversees the operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria. You will be stationed at Mandai Crematorium & Columbarium and will play a key role in providing after-death care service.
[What you will be working on]
You will be responsible for the following:
Transport caskets to designated areas before and after cremation ceremonies
Operate cremators in a safe, proper and efficient manner
Organise cremated remains for proper sorting and storage
Carry out cleaning and maintenance duties at the service and viewing halls as well as cremation areas
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
[What we are looking for]
Requirements:
Able to understand simple English as the job holder has to operate cremators and equipment with instructions in English
Tactful, approachable, patient and have good understanding of the practices of different religions
Willing to work in after-death care service environment
Able to interact and foster teamwork
Able to work on weekends and public holidays
