Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION To be responsible for the management of human resource activities of the company encompassing recruitment, performance management, compensation & benefits, welfare, training etc, and o BASIC FUNCTION To be responsible for the management of human resource activities of the company encompassing recruitment, performance management, compensation & benefits, welfare, training etc, and oversee the Corporate Administration team. RECRUITMENT Prepare the company's annual manpower budget in consultation with the department managers for manpower budget to derive at the appropriate manpower strength for each department and submit to management for approval. Responsible for the company's recruitment program, which will include activities such as advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking, and employment offers. Assist in maintaining a register of all position descriptions in the company in the prescribed formats and to update them on a regular basis so that they are relevant and reflective of the actual duties expected of these positions. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Assist in designing and maintaining company salary structure, Compensation & Benefits package & programme including insurances etc. Provide guidance and ensure compliance to Employment Act in all aspects. To conduct salary survey of the market and put up reports to management for periodic salary reviews. Responsible for checking & approving staff monthly claims. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT To assist in the company's annual training program planning. To roll out the training plan ensuring respective programs are well received by the employees and their immediate supervisors. To perform the duties of a trainer if required. To monitor employees' training and ensure that staff attend mandatory training programs, department SOP training and any other ad-hoc training programs introduced by the company. To co-ordinate performance management activities of company's staff and provide feedback to management with regard to high potential employees, common training needs, promotion prospects, etc. DISCIPLINE & GRIEVANCE HANDLING To investigate and handle all discipline matters in a impartial manner and in accordance to company rules & regulations and relevant laws, and to recommend to Management action plans. To handle any grievances brought up, and to escalate to Management where necessary and in accordance to established grievance procedures. WORKPLACE SAFETY & HEALTH To co-ordinate among various departments to put in place safety & health procedures, and ensure relevant training is provided to concerned staff. Any other suitable tasks as and when assigned by reporting superior.
