You will have the opportunity to actively participate in our global transformation, by changing tomorrow now.Responsible for implementing/applying Group financial policies, establishing key internal analysis and enabling decision making processes, as well as supporting management on daily basis to efficiently manage financing business activities at certain APAC markets. The role requires high efficiency capacity, coupled with strategic implementation through planning, coordination and execution of financing processes with both internal (APAC/Group level) and external counterparties (Lenders and Advisors), in a high paced and challenging environment at APAC heavily regulated markets.Responsibilities

  • Contributes to implement EDP\xc2\xb4s financial policy and strategy definition in coordination with various internal teams;
  • Evaluate the optimal financing strategy for the countries assigned which involves coordination with business units including Accounting, Tax, M&A and Legal etc.;
  • Work with M&A and BD teams on financing related matters for any new project due diligence, market assessment and valuation matters;
  • Active management of project financing activities related to certain APAC projects acting as the main liaison party with external lenders. This includes: (i) conducting comprehensive reviews of financing options and presenting/proposing financing alternatives; (ii) managing the financing process from early market sounding to closing including, when appropriate, any accessory arrangements (e.g. hedging, EBLs\xe2\x80\xa6); (iii) manage advisors in the context of project financing activities (financial advisors in particular); (iv) assist with the financing documents review and compliance of conditions precedent for disbursement: and (vi) manage the process of securing amendments, waivers or refinancing of existing project financing arrangements, when required.
  • Preparation of information memorandums, management or lender presentations required for projects assessment, launching financing Request for Proposals to the market and internal investment and financing decisions;
  • Display a constant awareness in the management of relations with other stakeholders, with particular reference to other EDP teams/functions and the EDP shareholders for whom the incumbent will be recognized as a trusted, open, and creative partner;
  • Recognize that several projects will be on co-investing basis (EDPR with other equity investors) and tailor the incumbent contribution to ensure that financing activities are handled in an efficient, smooth and balanced manner;
  • Efficiently manage priorities in a multi-project environment with very strict deadlines, in transparency and discussion with internal clients and stakeholders. The incumbent is a key \'face\' for the finance team towards the stakeholders. Result-oriented and pragmatic, the incumbent will have to manage time constraints and the stress that comes with strict deadlines with a natural and comforting ease that allows the team to optimally contribute in all circumstances;
  • Maintain an up-to-date, in depth understanding of the project financing market and cultivates collaborative and productive relations with lenders, financial advisors and the project financing community;
  • Develop specific skills in financing solutions and products adopted in the APAC platform and engaging the local teams in new projects.
Qualification
  • Degree in finance/Accountancy/Banking/Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5-10 years relevant working experience, preferably in energy, electricity or renewables or other infrastructure projects
  • Experience in closing debt and/or equity financing documents for infrastructure projects
  • Meticulous, result oriented, and can work well under pressure
  • Value alignment: stewardship, collaboration, innovation and with a spirit of excellence
  • Strategic thinking, ability to organise and synthetize complex information

  • Advanced skills in office tools (Excel, Power Point and Word)
  • Fluent in Mandarin as a plus
Communications and Working Relationships
  • Empathy with the Business Units and good communication skills
  • Engage with local functions on daily basis to align and coordinate on matters which require the Finance department support and involvement
  • Engage with global functions on weekly basis to understand directions and discuss on local challenges
  • Engage with external counterparties (banks, advisors\xe2\x80\xa6.) on regular basis to assess and determine about financing structuring and terms to specific markets and project
