Responsibilities
Solution Development: Collaborate with the Operations and Distribution team to design and develop innovative solutions that align with customer requirements and DHL Supply Chain's service standards. Utilize your expertise in data analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization, route efficiency, and cost reduction.
Data Collection and Analysis: Take charge of gathering, cleaning, organizing, and analyzing transportation data from various sources, including transportation management systems (TMS), carriers, Warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant databases. Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and performance metrics that influence transportation decisions.
Fleet analysis & optimization - Support the transport team by understanding and analyzing Fleet operational data to create high quality, insightful analytical products& synergies that enables the business to make proactive decisions.
Reporting and Performance Metrics: Prepare comprehensive transportation performance reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management and stakeholders. Use data insights to provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement in transportation operations.
Spend Optimization: Collaborate with the Finance team to analyze spend and identify opportunities to optimize spend. Implement strategies for cost reduction and support the negotiation of contracts (e.g. carriers) to achieve cost-effective transportation solutions.
Technology and Automation: Stay updated with the latest management technologies and automation tools. Propose, implement, and optimize technological solutions to enhance data analysis, reporting capabilities, and overall transportation efficiency.
Continuous Improvement (CI): Evaluate existing processes and workflows (e.g. Warehouse, Transport), identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Develop and implement process enhancements to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction. Assist team with creating CAPA where applicable, to strive for the best performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Business Development, and IT, to ensure seamless integration with overall supply chain strategies. Be open to interact with customers and take them through the analysis, benefits and challenging the status-quo where applicable.
Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and solution development within the logistics industry.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python (preferred) or similar software.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• A passion for staying updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to transportation logistics and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Be willing to challenge the status-quo and motivate the team to foster the data-driven culture.
