Key Responsibilities

• Work with manager/team leader for internal audit reviews as assigned
• Perform walk-throughs, identify key controls and execute review procedures to evaluate the design and validate operating effectiveness of internal controls in various business processes
• Perform data analyses for audit planning and related fieldwork
• Review and recommend business process improvements to address control gaps and to enhance efficiency where possible
• Draft findings in report deliverables with clear and concise business writing abilities
• Where required and as directed, work closely with business operations and other functional groups on ad hoc projects to provide advisory services

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Possess relevant bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
• Preferably with professional certifications in accounting (CA/CPA) and/or audit (CIA/CISA)
• 4-6 years’ relevant experience gained in an international professional accounting firm and/or major organization
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Working experience in internal control, internal audit, corporate governance and risk management are preferred
• Some experience in finance or accounting in similar industry would be advantageous
• Familiar with businesses and operational workflows
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) and familiar with various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Able to interact effectively with management, colleagues and other stakeholders across the SJ Group
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage
• A ‘hands on’ individual with a high level of initiative and professionalism
• A proven ability to meet deadlines
• Willing to travel around 25-30%
