Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Analyze trade lanes and capacities based on cargo flows, carrier shares, net-achieved costs on respective trade lanes and align capacity planning.
• Procurement and Negotiation:

• Negotiate with shipping lines on freight, space, equipment, allocation.
• Support country trade teams with rate inquiries, quotations, and solutions
• To undertake tender and bidding tasks and ensure its timely and accurate completion/ submission.
• Ownership of carrier contract management and database
• Driving and monitoring accounts performance commitments to achieve overall.
• targets.
• Support the ocean business administration to increase approved carrier space.
• allotment in close cooperation with the Regional Tradelane Managers.
• Driving and monitoring carrier performance to achieve overall commitment and compliance.
• Overseeing continuous process improvements and introduce best practices to enhance operational efficiencies and effectiveness in global and regional business.
• Supports most efficient establishment and execution of all regional and country operational processes based on the corporate SOP\xe2\x80\x99s and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in relevant field.
• 4+ years Freight Forwarding (or related Industry) experience.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of business and across cultural / National boundaries.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Comfortable presenting to an audience
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Good sales techniques
• Proven track record in business development
• Willingness to travel and / or work overtime when required.
