What the role is:You will be part of the Planning and Capability Development Department of the Memorial Facilities & Planning Division, which oversees the planning of after-death facilities in Singapore.What you will be working on:Review, formulate and implement policies and development plans for government-managed after-death facilities.Monitor utilisation and supply for management of bodies. Plan and monitor timeline for consultancy services, construction, including maintenance regimes and addition & alteration (A&A) works for government-managed facilities.Review current and new sustainable technologies for crematoria.Prepare and submit requests for project funding, track and monitor project budget, cashflow projections and utilisation.Draft and evaluate tender submissions and prepare award papers for approval and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for the execution of the project.Oversee and monitor the performance of external consultants and contractors to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of project.What we are looking for:Possess a degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical/Environmental/Electrical/Civil EngineeringExcellent written and verbal communication.Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills.Attention to details.Keen interest in project management work.Comfortable to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement.Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders.Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.About National Environment Agency:The National Environment Agency (NEA) is the leading public organisation responsible for ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for Singapore.
