Job Description


Job Summary:

You are responsible for the effective administration and operation of the Patient Service Centre including inpatient/day surgery admissions, payment truncations, Baby Bonus applications and all general enquires.

The incumbent is also responsible to establish plans for the development and implementation of the section operational flows, performance standards and service indicators as well as to lead and manage the operations of the section.

s:

  • Develop and implement the section goals and objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Devise and continuously improve work processes to optimize use of resources and to achieve patients\xe2\x80\x99 satisfaction and changes by various government agencies.
  • Ensure prompt processing of patients\xe2\x80\x99 admissions & discharges, financial counselling, and baby bonus applications.
  • To work with Chief Operating Officer and/or his/her designated Director to ensure that all complaints and queries are promptly addressed and dealt with within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Training of new Patient Service Officers and ensure continuous staff training and upgrading of processes.
  • Ensure all bills are fully settled or guaranteed by company / insurance prior to patient\xe2\x80\x99s discharge.
  • Motivate and develop staff to bring out the best in them to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • To work with Senior Patient Service Officer in-charge of credit collections on all patients\xe2\x80\x99 bills outstanding.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of Department\xe2\x80\x99s service standards.
  • Prepare monthly reports on operational issues, maternity statistics, baby bonus statistics, service indicators.
  • Participates in hospital committees or work-groups as and when required.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:

  • At least 5-8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Healthcare Patient Service Centre/Business Office and quality improvement roles;
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and professional presentation;
  • Independent, self-motivated, and results-driven;
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members to achieve high level of performance
  • Proficient in MS skills - Words, Excel and Power Point
