Jurong Port's multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port's local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.
The Job
Projects:

• Execution of digitalisation projects at the Lighter Terminals and allocated projects in the Lighterage and Regional Trade Division.
• Lead in conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes and implementation.
• Collaborate with Organisation Digitalisation and Transformation & Safety Team on optimisation projects.
• Manage set project timelines, milestones, budget and monitor that projects are kept on track.
• Monitor project deliverables and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on project progress.
• Support project team members, assigning tasks and ensuring effective task completion.
• Schedule tasks and coordinate with various team members to accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
• Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes as needed, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented environment.
• Resolve conflicts among different stakeholders and assist in conflict resolution to ensure project success.

• Propose, develop and monitor ground operation productivity monitoring parameters.
• Optimize operations planning, identifying and rectifying bottlenecks and impediments to smooth operations flow including day-to-day troubleshooting
• Perform Division procurement functions
• Lead in implementation of continuous improvements in operations processes.

• Perform other administrative duties and handle ad-hoc tasks as instructed by Division HOD.

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Terminal Operations, Business Management, Computer Science, Applied Digital Information Solution Systems, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Understanding of stakeholder engagement, process mapping, and solution design.
• Basic software development and database knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Database management; coding skills in Python, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages are a plus.
• Proactive with strong problem-solving skills; able to propose and implement improvement ideas.
• Excellent communication skills; able to engage effectively with diverse cultures.
• Detail-oriented and process-driven; able to deliver results under challenging conditions.
• Ability to lead and secure stakeholder buy-in for proposed solutions and processes.
