The Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), an autonomous institute of the Singapore University of Social Sciences, is at the forefront of building capabilities and continuing professional development for an effective, innovative and responsive TAE sector.
In this position, the appointee will work under the Programme Administration and Management Department and supervise a small team to manage the unit's operations, products and services, and quality assurance. The appointee will review internal processes and systems to improve and deliver a high-quality learner/customer service experience.
Champion operational excellence, including customer service and support
Monitor performance of the programmes and services portfolio based on performance standards, and recommend enhancement opportunities
Manage and execute the learning administration processes and databases
Gather information on the effectiveness of the programmes and services portfolio and address learner feedback
Analyse learner needs, manage learner expectations and feedback
Assist with the organisation's enterprise risks and mitigation plans in learning administration, and implementation of the corporate governance regulations
Implement plans for quality assurance in training administrative policies and systems, including internal audits to evaluate compliance
Manage queries and instances of non-compliance with the organisation's quality assurance policies and systems
Manage and develop the internal capabilities of a small team
Any other duties, including cross-divisional projects or events that the management may assign from time to time to meet the needs of the organisation and changing environment.
Job Requirements
Tertiary qualifications, preferably in education-related fields. Candidates without the required qualifications but with relevant work experience and required skills may also be considered.
Five years of relevant work experience in managing training programmes and adult educators, performing quality assurance.
Experience in using data analysis and visualisation techniques/tools
Familiar with tech-enabled learning and Kirkpatrick's 4 Levels of Learning Evaluation
Possess WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP)
Familiarity with the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) framework and training management system is preferred
Mature and meticulous, able to grasp and tackle operational issues with a clear understanding of the system, process implications, and stakeholder needs
A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a service excellence mindset
Open-minded, adaptable, receptive to change and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Analytical and strong in planning, implementation and process design
Good written and verbal communication skills
Resilient to challenges and possess good problem-solving skills
The successful appointee will be based in IAL Campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute next to Paya Lebar MRT station
