Your Scope will include...

In this role you will have a unique opportunity to join the fastest growing region of a global beauty powerhouse in a high impact role.

  • Leading and driving performance of new categories and supporting Skincare & Haircare categories through providing strong strategic direction to both regional and country category teams
  • Direct management of the exclusive brand portfolio and partnering with country teams/strategic brand groups to deliver differentiation and growth
  • Drive collaboration with cross functional teams to achieve the goals - sales, profitability, customers, market share, stock health
You will be based in Singapore and with some travel across the region and further as and when required.

Category Management & Business Leadership * Drive top line sales growth and profitability/margins for white space categories and Skincare & Haircare category through direct management of Exclusive portfolio as well as co-pilot and partnering with country teams on Selective portfolio.
  • Define clear category strategies to optimise growth opportunities, identify white space and category trends, brand/segment/channel playbook.
  • KPIs - top line sales, profitability, stock health, assortment coverage, linear productivity
  • Ensure optimization in net margin and achieve profitability goals.
SEA Category Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Own brand portfolio, track omni-channel category performance (by channel, markets, segments, margin, productivity, brand conversion & stocks management) vs set KPIs
  • Execution & implementation of programs per the category strategies as defined in budget and strategy planning under the guidance of the category lead
  • Monitoring & identification of new trends, new brands, merchandising programs and ad-hoc strategies to optimize category growth and performance
  • Using data analysis to support and make data-driven decisions. Tracking of sales and category reports of assigned brand within team (including brand insights by segments)
  • Support Category Director in driving excellence in assigned categories
Brand management: Market Specific Brands - Brands managed locally
  • Trading terms negotiation and review
  • Acquisition of new brands, establish relationships and driving high level negotiation
  • Key stakeholder in process of brand agreement sign-off and subsequent renewals
  • Preparing necessary submission for new brands listing - vendor creation form
  • Develop the annual brand plan including product launch calendar and sales targets
  • Ensure a relevant (productive) assortment for each brand in accordance to the set linear productivity measure for the category
  • Project Management and Internal Collaboration
  • Drive white space categories across one/more countries and leading the planning, execution and management to launch and beyond
  • Manage and monitor the successful execution of ad-hoc regional strategic projects
  • Cross- functional team collaborations on necessary systems and processes to support category needs and deliver efficiency
  • Brand/Product Launch plans
  • Working closely with brands and internal stakeholders on planning, coordination & execution of launch plan for assigned brands - Annual launch plan, new listing process: sell-In, vendor form, sales forecast, first pipe order, brand deck, onsite management (product page, category page); skus publishing; brand specific gwp activation etc
  • Defining opportunities and gaps in business performance and white space, spear growth of product assortment and execution
  • Maintaining, identifying assortment gap and optimizing product assortment of assigned brands
  • Development of pricing strategies for the assortment range
  • Animation Planning
  • Plan key animation slots for brands
  • Recommend product assortment in animation thematics: product assortment, target and stocks ordering
  • Plan for instore mechanics/promotions or activities to drive sales
  • Launching & delisting of brands
  • Monitoring and measuring assigned brands performance against category sales and profitability benchmark
  • Conduct half-yearly rationalization of brands and assortment
  • Coordination & execution of launch plan for assigned new brands - Launch Plan, new listing process: sell-In, vendor form, sales forecast, first pipe order, brand deck
  • Liaise & co-operate with all departments and markets to ensure strong launch plans & execution
  • Planogram management
  • Ensure a relevant, optimal assortment by brand according to allocated space
  • Work with brands to develop logical planograms
  • Review sales productivity 2x a year by brand planogram space within category
  • Stock Management
  • Work with supply chain to meet the company's stockholding KPI
  • Review SOH with supply chain and propose action plans for SKUs with high stock holding and discontinued SKUs
  • Review and publish sleeping stocks
  • Acts as the brand custodian to partner with Supply Chain to ensure deliveries meet launch dates and campaigns and healthy stock holding

  • Min. 5 years Retail/Brand Management experience
  • Keen interest in the beauty industry with a flair for trends and style
