HSBC Wealth Management leads the Asia-Pacific implementation of our global strategy to deliver world-class solutions to retail and private clients seeking to grow, protect, preserve or transfer their wealth. This involves the development and management of needs-based solutions covering foreign exchange, deposit, investment, insurance and financing products, as well as the provision of suitable market insights and updates, financial planning and advisory services.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Sales and Services.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist financial needs analysis and solutions support to Relationship Managers in serving HSBC Premier and High Net Worth individuals
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • To provide administrative support to the team in handling the execution of all wealth management products within deadline and maintaining the sales records
  • To ensure strict compliance with key focus on control and procedural adherence to prevent any operational error
  • To examine all accounts opened are in compliance with Singapore Anti Money Laundering Guidelines and meeting the Data Standard in completing core and Know Your Client fields
  • To ensure that the service principles and standards are follow to achieve the service benchmark
  • To work closely with internal colleagues to resolve enquiries and investigate customer complaints promptly and efficiently, within reasonable timeline
  • To provide operational support to the team as part of delivering high level of service standard and teamwork
  • Deliver efficient and high quality administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB), South Asia
  • Working to provide executive assistance and administration support to the Head of South Asia\xe2\x80\x99s leadership team as required
  • Responsibility for significant heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with other executives and assistants
  • Responsible for scheduling a variety of external meetings, conference attendances with external consultants, vendor providers and industry bodies / organisations
  • Communicate and handle as required incoming and outgoing emails on behalf of the H/O South Asia, responding where appropriate
  • Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents; prepare background documents and outgoing mail as necessary
  • Make travel arrangements for Head and other individuals within the leadership team as required
  • Produce letters, reports, memoranda, forms and schedules, utilizing various PC-based software packages
  • Perform general clerical duties, which potentially include confidential materials
  • Coordinate with Team Administrators to consolidate the overall department organization chart
  • Receive and process information from business units, other departments, HR and coordinate with Team Administrators for various reporting and tracking such as annual leave, compensation leave, financial, operational and personnel changes, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Provide administrative support to the team
  • Gatekeeper or primary point of contact role for the team
  • Provide support to the coordination and implementation of people engagement initiatives and events
  • Coordinate WPB level mass communication
  • Perform ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements
  • Through attainment of a degree at a recognised university or through some years of experience in a retail banking environment with strong focus on service
  • Preferably with experience in dealing with people is an advantage
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people of varying background
