Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and driven professional to join NCPA as Assistant Manager, Student Care. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for student wellbeing, proactively developing and leading initiatives that support our students in thriving both academically and personally. You will also organize student events designed to foster community, engagement, and overall well-being, creating a positive and supportive environment that enhances students' mental and emotional health.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and lead proactive outreach and engagement initiatives to promote student well-being through working closely with the university offices, such as University Well-being office, Student Affairs Office, etc.
Contributes to case management / critical incident management processes by case handling, provide counselling, referral, follow up and liaising with relevant support services, ensuring best practice in student well-being management, in adherence to institutional protocols.
Enhance the wellbeing and mental health awareness of students through training and education or participation in wellbeing events and activities.
Plan and organize student-focused events and activities that foster a sense of community, encourage student engagement, and support overall emotional and mental wellbeing.
Ensure students are aware of support and care channels, and encourage their access to relevant resources when needed.
Work with student leaders, class representatives and faculty members to strengthen student support and care network within Centre/School.
Ensure and enhance wellbeing and mental health competencies of care and support providers in the Centre/ School.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related fields, preferably in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology.
Minimum 4 to 6 years of work experience, preferably in student care, student life or support- related role.
Demonstrated success in providing effective student care and support, with experience in higher education sector is advantage.
Strong experience in stakeholder management, case management, and/or critical incident management.
Excellent wellbeing outreach and/or programme management experience.
Prior experience working with graduate students will be considered an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with high level of empathy and emotional intelligence.
Proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required, as the role supports students in both Chinese and English programs.
Training in critical incident management, case management and/or psychological first aid will be considered an added advantage.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications
