JOB DESCRIPTION

The selected candidate will be reporting to Head of Terrestrial Networks of Keppel Networks business unit which builds Submarine Cable projects. Being part of Keppel Networks, you will play one of the critical role in strengthening the connectivity business. The incumbent will work closely with our internal and external stakeholders to manage the development of the design, construction, and operation of fronthaul and backhaul infrastructure in Singapore and international. The incumbent shall
support the team lead to source & negotiate for local and international capacity, in-country last mile access & dark fiber and data center colocation, covering ASEAN countries & India sub-continent and the USA; and monitor suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 performance, negotiate MSA ensure committed deliverables as per MSA is achieved & host monthly supplier performance review & rate their performance.
While being a team player, the incumbent will also support the Manager or your team lead to overseeing the construction and commissioning of the project to the handover of the project to the Operations team and end user/tenant, which includes but not limited to, working closely with the authorities, consultants, contractors and suppliers, and seamlessly working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed safely, to the right quality, on time and within budget.
The incumbent will be based in Singapore but may be required to travel overseas for work as required.
Support the lead in cost saving initiatives, conduct Continuous Improvement (CI) exercise, rollout HQ Source-to-Contract & Procure-to-Pay process across APAC region.
Actively participate and contribute to infra network design/planning build with stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Regulatory), identify best practice to improve efficiency & enhance infra network reliability.
Provide support in Design, source & project manage Dark Fiber network deployment in Singapore, Philippines & India and USA connecting Cable Landing Station & POP/Data Center.
Support Keppel\'s network integration, MSA/agreements & rate standardization and legal entity rationalization.
Assist in rolling out and implementing new fronthaul/backhaul plant infrastructure
Maintain and provide support to ensure the operationality of fronthaul/backhaul outside plant
Manage customer with top priority
Supervise contractors onsite during survey and implementation
Work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure all construction safety requirements are met and strictly adhere to
Manage and execute other duties and responsibilities from time to time that are assigned by Head of Terrestrial Networks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Diploma/Degree in Project Management or Engineering field
Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in the Project Management of fronthaul/backhaul terrestrial infrastructure
Experience in managing and handling contractors and consultants
Have some knowledge of Asia\xe2\x80\x99s Telecommunications, Submarine Cable System and Data Centre industry
Clear understanding of commercial & financial processes (invoicing, approvals etc)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Leadership quality and good communication skills
Strong Administration skills and problem-solving mindset
Be thorough and pay attention to details
Able to work well with others and have good customer service skills
Able to use your initiative, flexible and open to changes
Strong time management & work well under pressure
Characteristics needed to perform in the job role
Be passionate of his/her role and willing to learn and grow.
Able to travel within the Asia Region and globally in short notice.
