[What the role is]

You will work towards attracting, creating and growing business events in the media and digital content cluster as well as specific best in class events identified by the team. The work also involves identifying emerging industries and creating a gameplan to grow the business events ecosystem (trade conferences & exhibitions) supporting that industry.

[What you will be working on]

• Develop and implement business development strategies / initiatives to grow a healthy pipeline of trade events in particular in the media and digital content sector including sub-sectors such as gaming and advertising as well as specific best in class events identified by the team.
• Identify and establish new networks both locally and internationally.
• Develop convincing pitches to secure best in class events by harnessing the full value proposition of Singapore. This would involve understanding the value chain of the industry which the event caters to and pulling together the collective support of the relevant Singapore Government agencies,
• Identify new emerging trends and industries and conceptualise a strategy to attract or create new business events.
• Manage multiple local / international stakeholders from the public and private sector.
• Grow and support business events through administration of the BEiS grant.

[What we are looking for]

• 2-3 years of working experience in marketing, events / business development or customer account management
• Good verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills and research and analysis skills
• A high level of proficiency in the key applications of MS Office are a must, as is the ability to create and deliver effective and engaging presentations
• Ability to connect the dots and harness upcoming trends in advance to formulate strategies and execute the initiatives to give Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s exhibitions & conference industry a leading edge
• Ability to think out of the box to formulate innovative means to drive business outcomes with the resources we have on hand
• Having MICE industry knowledge would be an advantage, but it is not mandatory
