What the role is:As the sector champion for the hotel industry, you will focus on industry development and workforce transformation of hotels in Singapore, by working closely with industry players and the Singapore Hotel Association, the union and relevant government agencies.Your role will see you building a vibrant, productive and competitive hotel industry - one that attracts innovative hotel concepts/experiences and provides high-value offerings to visitors - by building strong relationship with key accounts; and enabling them to realize their business and workforce transformation plans, through strategy- and policy-making and leveraging key support schemes.What you will be working on:Develop hotel industry transformation initiatives, in line with the Hotels Industry Transformation Map (ITM) and Hotel Sustainability Roadmap - with key focus on spurring hotels towards more progressive HR practices, the adoption of manpower development programmes, enhance productivity and raise the value and appeal of hotel-related jobs.Cultivate relationships with key hotel accounts and understanding their needs and challenges in transforming their businesses. You will have an opportunity to tailor support for key accounts through STB\'s own programmes and other government schemes to enable hotels to adopt new business models, diversify their offerings and adopt best practices (e.g. in human capital, sustainability efforts, etc).You will also work closely with other agencies (e.g. MOM, WSG, SSG, etc) on areas such as manpower policy reviews and Jobs & Skills development.What we are looking for:Analytical & reasoning skills, ability to problem-solveOrganised, detailed-oriented, and meticulousStrong project management skills, ability to multi-taskInterpersonal skills to manage different stakeholdersStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work with data and systems, including using Excel to process dataGood appreciation for policy work, including policy development, implementation and process improvementApplication Status: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 2 weeks from the closing date of this job posting.
