Job Description


Job Summary: Strategise, direct and run programmes to bring volunteers together to share ideas, skills and resources to enable communities. Through managing the 33 volunteer coordinators in the direct services, we build networks between TOUCH and the rest of Singapore such that TOUCH can achieve Vision 2030.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Engage stakeholders, build partnerships and grow projects for volunteers to serve the communities.
  • Assist in educating TOUCH Volunteer Coordinators to embrace the Corporate Vision to harness Volunteers for sustainability.
  • Assist to drive the adoption of a Centralized Digital Process to Recruit, Engage and Manage volunteers.
  • Upskill the Volunteer Coordinators to develop, redesign and create volunteer jobs.
  • Drive collaborative initiatives across all internal stakeholders to share and retain volunteers.
  • Assist in planning and executing appreciation of volunteers to retain them.
  • Introduce and revise volunteering policies to facilitate a vibrant volunteering community.
  • Establish new and maintain recruitment platforms with existing corporate and community partners to introduce available volunteering opportunities.
  • Drive, strategise and develop volunteer training to upskill them.
  • Co-manage and in charge of volunteer database.
  • Assist in organizing at least VC meetings in a year to update Volunteer Coordinators on new plans and sharing of best practices.
  • Support the team/organisation in national projects (i.e. Volunteer Management related pilot projects with AIC/NCSS/YCS).
  • Support, coordinate and manage the data gathering and analytics with regards to to special projects.
  • Conduct volunteer risk assessment at least twice a year with various services.
  • Collate and submit reports.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree holder.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project, stakeholder and budget management.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and organised, able to translate concepts into actionable goals.
  • Prior experience in volunteer management will be an added advantage.
  • Crisis management and service recovery skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
