Job Description
:
- Assist in managing daily depot activities, ensuring the seamless handling, storage, and dispatching of containers and cargo.
- Collaborate with terminal operations, trucking, and shipping companies to optimize cargo flow and minimize delays.
- Monitor container inventory levels, ensuring proper storage arrangements and maintaining accurate records for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Enforce safety protocols within the depot, ensuring adherence to port safety regulations, environmental standards, and health guidelines.
- Support the training, supervision, and development of depot staff, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the safe and secure handling of cargo, preventing damage or loss.
- Oversee the maintenance and efficient use of depot equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and container handlers.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure that services are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing reports on depot performance, cargo movements, and inventory levels, ensuring accurate documentation for audits.
- Support initiatives to optimize depot operations, streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency within the port's operations.
- Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Deport operations or similar capacity
