What the role is:

Assistant Manager/Manager (Previously known as Child Welfare Officer) Child Welfare, Children In Care Service (CIC) Looking for a workplace with passion and commitment to empower and restore lives of the vulnerable population in Singapore? Description of Division: As part of the RPG family, Children-in Care (CIC) services safeguards the safety and well-being of children and young persons in Singapore. What you will be working on:

Brief description of Job Scope: Reporting to the Assistant Director/Senior Manager, you will contribute to the following: a) Competency-building of the Authorised Adoption Agencies (AAAs) to assist them in operating competently in the adoption space. The AAAs\' competence will also contribute to safeguarding the best interest of children and in cultivating more discerning and enlightened group of potential adopters. b) Assist in the competency building of the Pre-Family Guidance Order (FGO) programme providers. c) Front enquiries and appeal from members of the public on adoption and Pre-FGO matters. Responsibilities: As an Officer, you will assist the AAAs in navigating the landscape changes with the onset of the new Adoption of Children Act (ACA) 2022. You will also assist the AAAs to build new skills to provide services in the adoption sector. You will also be involved in the assessment and processing of applications/enquires submitted by prospective adopters/public. As needed, you will support the team in planning for, reviewing and managing the Family Guidance Order (FGO) programme. You will also be working with partners in the sector to implement the FGO programme. You will have to manage contracts; develop and handle all communications for adoption and FGO related enquires and work with IT systems to ensure appropriate data management for the adoption and FGO services.

Functional/Technical Competencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in managing frontline operations and communications work \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in working with vulnerable children and families or with investigative experience in social service settings is an added advantage Generic Competencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical, writing, communication, problem solving skills with a deep passion to safeguard the welfare of children. \xe2\x80\xa2 Self- directed, forward thinking, adaptive to change and able to work in a fast-paced setting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent time management skills, and an ability to influence change and work well with others. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work calmly in highly stressful situations and environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with people \xe2\x80\xa2 Be tenacious and resilient in handling difficult situations/people \xe2\x80\xa2 High level of emotional resilience \xe2\x80\xa2 Good people management, project management, strategic thinking and problem solving skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Basic knowledge of data analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to undertake both macro perspectives and in-depth analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrate personal integrity and accountability
