What the role is:Family Life Group (FLG) Strong families are the building blocks of a caring community. Inter-Generational Support Division (IGS)/Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) OPG under the Ministry of Social and Family Development protects the dignity and safeguards the interests of vulnerable persons lacking mental capacity (P). OPG supports the Public Guardian in carrying out her statutory duties.What you will be working on:The appointed person will assist the supervisors in OPG\'s Supervision & Investigation (S&I) team, specifically to carry out the function of safeguarding interests of persons who lack mental capacity through supervising court-appointed deputies and investigating into alleged abuse of such persons. Responsibilities a) To supervise court-appointed deputies including: \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain a register of court orders appointing deputies; \xe2\x80\xa2 Review deputy reports to check compliance with court orders, whether deputies have acted in the interest of P and that P\'s wellbeing and finances have been accounted for; \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow-up with deputies for clarification and/or rectification where necessary; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Recommend and take appropriate actions against errant deputies, which may include court applications to suspend or revoke deputyship. \xe2\x80\xa2 Other responsibilities include review of operational policies and processes, and organisation- related support functions. b) Assist in the investigation of abuse of P including: \xe2\x80\xa2 interview, statement taking of whistle-blower, alleged perpetrators and relevant witnesses \xe2\x80\xa2 Collect, obtain and evaluate the evidence \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain chain of custody for evidence \xe2\x80\xa2 Preparation of final investigation report \xe2\x80\xa2 Take appropriate action against errant deputies and donees.What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualification, preferably in financial accounting / law / business analytics \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 3 years of working experience in accounting / auditing / investigation \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in fraud detection and prevention is a plus \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in data analytics and case management are desired \xe2\x80\xa2 CPA / CIA / CFE professional certification is a plus \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-driven and meticulous with strong analytical skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interpersonal, speaking and writing skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work independently and with a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in MS office.
