What the role is:The Social Mobility and Service Integration Division (SMI) oversees policies that provide social support to lower-income groups. Our division focuses on individuals or families facing financial difficulty, with multiple needs, with the aim of supporting them towards achieving stability, self-reliance, and social mobility over time.What you will be working on:The Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager will be a part of the Social Support Branch in SMI and will be involved in reviews of our social assistance approach and policies, and develop strategies to support lower-income families to help them achieve stability, self-reliance, and ultimately, social mobility.What we are looking for:Develop and review policies that support lower-income families in Singapore in building financial resilience and achieving upward social mobility. You will be part of a team whose key responsibilities include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Design, implement and review strategies to enable lower-income families/individuals to improve their outcomes in important areas (e.g. employment, home ownership, education, health) that affect their social mobility, in partnership with other MSF Divisions and government agencies; \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and review policy parameters for existing and new ComLink+ Progress Packages in consultation with other agencies and stakeholders; \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage research projects that seek to evaluate the impact of policies that the team oversees, and apply the findings to revise policy parameters and design when required; \xe2\x80\xa2 Formulate public communications strategies and products to raise awareness of the Government\'s approach towards social assistance and mitigating inequality, including through the ComLink+ Progress Packages.About Ministry Of Social And Family Development:\xe2\x80\x9cWe are Professionals with Passion for People\xe2\x80\x9d The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) develops the \xe2\x80\x9cheartware\xe2\x80\x9d for Singapore through our policies, community infrastructure, programmes and services.
