Responsibilities:

Report directly to Mechancial Department Head in all matters
Coordinate between Ship Repair Managers and ship representative in planned and corrective maintenance onboard
Supervise and ensure safety of vessel maintenance and repair works.
Leading a team of Technician, Assistant Engineers and Engineers to perform repair and maintenance onboard ships or in workshop
Carry out troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical/diesel defects.
Perform joint inspection and acceptance with ship representative
Hands on work in rectification of defects and maintenance of mechanical components
Ensure quality of work performed by ownself and Technician, Assistant Engineers and Engineers deployed
Assist in logistic support, lifting of equipment and workshop equipments etc

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Marine Engineering/Offshore Engineering
Knowledgable in using IMTE Tools such as Torque Wrench, Pressure gauges, Internal and External Micrometer
Knowledgable in depicting mechanical schematic diagram and 2D drawings
Work very closely with ship representative
Willing and able to work under pressure and overtime works if require
Must be able to work in a team and in the department
Willing and able to perform hands on work
Able to work in shipyard environment - heat, grease, dust
Training will be provided to candidates without prior experience to achieve competency
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel.
