Job Description

:

The Engineer shall plan and install delivery links to send the audio video feeds from the event sites to the designated location(s) by deploying suitable technologies. He is to ensure the feed received at the designated location is of broadcast quality and monitor them throughout the events. He will have to liaise with many parties such as the vendors and building owners during the work. He will also need to maintain all the delivery equipment well to ensure they are always operationally ready.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects related to Media Delivery links.
• Establish various types of Media Delivery technologies include cellular bonding technology, optical fiber link, microwave link, IP streaming, Mesh Radio link and etc.
• Set up equipment at outdoor venues and ensure all power supplies requirements are adequate and appropriate for Live operations, that comply with safety regulations.
• Liaise with the agencies and building owners for the approval of use of the premises.
• Work over weekends public holidays and after office hours depending on the job requirements.
• Perform standby duty for VIP events (e.g. breaking news, emergency events, BCP exercise and etc.)
• Perform regular equipment maintenance and housekeeping.
• Adhere to workplace safety and cyber security policy while performing duties.

Qualifications:

• Higher Nitec/Diploma/Degree in Engineering or IT discipline
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Fresh graduates may be considered if found suitable for the position
• Knowledge in digital transmission, such as COFDM, MIMO technology
• Knowledge in IT networking includes Cisco Switches
• Knowledge in Linux and/or Window OS
• Basic Cyber Security knowledge
• Basic RF knowledge will be an advantage
• Certified to work at height will be an advantage
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license
