Port Operations Coordination: Assist in managing port operations, including vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and coordination with port authorities to ensure efficient movement of goods.
Warehouse Management: Support daily warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and ensuring the proper storage and safety of goods in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Freight Management: Coordinate freight activities, including booking shipments, liaising with carriers, and ensuring timely transportation of goods via sea, air, or land while optimizing costs and transit times.
Documentation and Compliance: Prepare, maintain, and ensure accurate shipping and customs documentation for all shipments. Ensure compliance with international trade laws, port regulations, and customs requirements.
Cargo Tracking & Updates: Monitor the movement of shipments from port to warehouse and vice versa. Provide real-time updates to internal teams and clients regarding shipment status and delivery timelines.
Inventory Control & Reporting: Assist in monitoring inventory levels within the warehouse, track product movement, and support inventory audits. Provide regular inventory reports to senior management.
Coordination with External Parties: Act as a liaison between shipping lines, freight forwarders, warehouse operators, and customs brokers to resolve issues and streamline operations.
Safety & Risk Management: Ensure that warehouse and port operations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Assist in risk assessments and safety audits to minimize operational risks.
Cost Management: Assist in managing operational costs related to port, warehouse, and freight activities. Help in identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
Customer Support: Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding shipping schedules, customs issues, and delivery status. Provide high-level customer service, resolving any operational challenges that arise.
? Requirements Requirement:
Minimum Diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management. Other disciplines with experience in logistics operations management preferable in 3rd party logistics, distribution or manufacturing environment will also be considered.
