The Presales Consultant needs to develop good working relationships with the sales team to identify and work on sales opportunities and driving it to closure. Together with sales, the consultant is responsible for executing the sales strategy to deliver the required results, including post-sales support during project implementation. The consultant is also expected to be the technology and solution advisor with sound knowledge in the cybersecurity domain.

The Presales consultant is required to advise customers on the security landscape, architectural models and solutions, and possesses the ability to discuss and to present to senior members of a client team. He or she is expected to be fluent in solution design methodologies and security by design guidelines (e.g. Best Practices type of approaches) and have the ability to generate high quality artifacts such as requirements artifacts, high level and detailed designs and deployment plans.

The Presales Consultant has the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • Introduce Managed Security Services solutions to partners and customers to achieve improved market share in the managed security service market segment
  • Lead large groups and be a primary facilitator in customer workshops and presentations
  • Content development of presentations to present value propositions
  • Convert complex enterprise (or Operational Technology) requirements to a comprehensive security services solution and respond to customers request with written proposals (including Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Test, training and products initiated by ST Engineering Info-Security) in a fast tempo environment
  • Help drive pursuits and engage in deals as a team, matching outcomes to expectations
  • Evangelize, engage in and/or support consultancy opportunities to influencing the customer\'s strategy favouring managed security services
  • Work with internal groups and third-party vendors from pre-sales and implementation through to production
  • Develop support and operation models for services and ensure support and operation costs and all internal or partner supply agreements are defined
  • Analyse and qualify customer requirements and propose or develop a profitable and suitable solution to meet customer needs
  • Function as a cybersecurity expert and provide a consistent solution/service experience to customers across different industries and internally within the division
  • Provide input, guidance and advice within the relevant specialist focus areas of technologies
  • Provide input as an expert advisor, to guide and advice within SOC centre of excellence for technology and playbooks design
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of present technological trends, processes and methodologies in the security marketplace so as to have a strong understanding and knowledge of competitor products and services
  • Identify and spear head new efforts to support new business initiative such as SOC in the Cloud for regulated and SME market segment
  • Setup, lead and manage technical reviews of portfolio technologies for the continual improvement of the security initiative
The candidate should ideally possess the following attributes and qualifications:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working in a Pre-sales capacity related to cybersecurity domain such as Network & Infrastructure Security, Content (Application and Data) Security, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Security Operation Centre (and/or Managed Security Services) Consulting, Incident Response, SIEM, Threat Detection, Managed Security solutions and understanding the inter-relationships between major components
  • Knowledge on onboarding various log sources from network, endpoints, operating systems, applications, databases, cloud services logs etc
  • Understanding of parsing, aggregation and normalization of data
  • Knowledge on various SIEM tools, feature comparison, resource sizing and licensing models
  • Knowledge on various attack types, threat vectors, threat intelligence, threat hunting methodologies
  • Knowledge on Security Operation Centre processes like Incident management, Triage, Incidence Response & remediation
  • Knowledge on security solutions relating to Windows, Linux, network architecture/implementation /configuration) and Cloud
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner.
  • Ability to set and manage expectations with senior stakeholders, team members and able to work easily with diverse and dynamic environment
  • History of creating rapport with customers at all levels
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent educational or industry experience Professional security related qualification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, GCIA, CREST, OSCP, IEC62443 etc
  • Advantage to have knowledge in Cybersecurity RA, VAPT, IM8, CCoP and ISO27001 compliance
