Successful candidates must have a PhD at the time of appointment.The Linguistics and Multilingual Studies programme strongly encourages and supports interdisciplinary, empirical research. Successful applicants can look forward to a research-stimulating environment. The teaching load is typically 2/2, with an expected transition to a 2/1 load. Both appointments are expected to begin in July 2025.Suitable applicants should have PhDs in Linguistics or related fields and be able to teach core courses in the Linguistics and Multilingual Studies programme (see description of core courses ( ). They will also be expected to offer electives in one or more areas of specialization. We seek applicants with one or more of the following specializations (with priority to the first two areas):Discourse analysis Computational linguistics / Natural Language Processing (NLP) PsycholinguisticsIn addition to teaching at the undergraduate level, successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the administration of the programme, postgraduate-level teaching, and supervision, and be active in research and publication. They should complement existing strengths in the programme and also add to those strengths in new and substantive ways.
