The job holder will carry out cutting edge research in wireless charging and the optimization of the efficiency of power conversion systems by using a combination of hardware and software strategies. The job holder will be actively involved in teaching and administration to contribute to the University's aspiration to be a world-class research-intensive university. The job holder will be given time to develop his/her research, initially receiving a reduced teaching and administrative workload. Responsibilities . Secure research funding to build up research, and provide high quality research outputs in publications, invention disclosures, and engineering designs etc. in wireless charging, optimization of power conversion systems, and other disciplines related to Electrical and Electronic Engineering. . Engage in the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and related disciplines. . Support, supervise and mentor undergraduate students in project works and other academic pursuits, and postgraduate research students in research projects and the development of their research careers. . Play an active role in the life of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, College of Engineering and the University by supporting activities around research, teaching, enterprise, student experience and widening participation. Requirements Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply: . A Ph.D. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a relevant field . At least three years of research experience in wireless charging . Excellent track records in publishing high-impact papers in top journals and conferences . Proven track records and expertise in wireless charging . Preferable to have secured some research funding as principal investigator . Preferable to have proven track records of teaching and mentoring . Good interpersonal skills .
